Part of the Le Corbusier Season in Liverpool.
Tim Benton will discuss his major study of the rhetorical methods used by Le Corbusier in the lectures with which he spread his ideas across the world, thus gaining international recognition and consequently iconic status.
Tim Benton is Professor of Art History at the Open University. His research includes Le Corbusier's work of the 1920s and 1930s and the history of modern architecture and design. He has also worked on a number of major exhibitions, including Art Deco 1910–1939 at the V&A.
Chaired by Charles Jencks, architectural historian and designer.
A partnership event with Phaidon Press to mark the publication of Tim Benton’s book Le Corbusier 'Le Grand'.
