"A stone does not fall ill". A Psychoanalyst-Psychosomatician at work

A theoretical and clinical Psychoanalytic lecture

This paper is both theoretical and clinical; it tries to describe how an analyst can work with somatic patients. This analytic kind of work is based on the Freudian metapsychology and the theoretical frame stemming from the Paris School of Psychosomatics. The clinical material describes the story of a long, face to face analytic work with a foreign patient who was referred because of depression but who also had colon cancer.
