Why do we deify actors? The recent hype over the Baftas and the forthcoming furore over the Oscars has put the actor on a pedestal. What does it say about us and the modern cult of celebrity and is it another manifestation of the infantilization of the population?


With speakers to include Michael Bywater, writer, broadcaster and academic and Michael Attenborough, Artistic Director of the Almeida Theatre.
