One of the foremost sociologists of the age, Luc Boltanski’s new book The New Spirit of Capitalism, argues that the dreams of the New Left may have found their perverse realisation in bohemian “Ben and Jerry” capitalism. Boltanski outlines his theory at the ICA, after which he will be interviewed by Alex Callinicos, Professor of European Studies, King’s College London and author of An Anti-Capitalist Manifesto.
