A range of topics united by the theme 'configurational hypersurface'
This highly interdisciplinary meeting will cover topics ranging from structure and dynamics of molecular clusters, through collective events such as the glass transition and polyamorphism, to protein folding and denaturation phenomena. The central theme will be provided by the concept of the “configurational hypersurface”, that is determined in detail for small molecules, and is invoked more generally in studies of glasses, liquids and biomolecules. We will unite theoreticians and experimentalists from many fields for an exchange of ideas, to lead to recognition of underlying commonalities in the research problems, and their interpretation and the language used to describe them.
