A discussion based upon reactions and emotions towards films.
In 1975 audiences rioted after watching Hitler cuddling a girl in Swastika, yet cheered as a hero bit off a character’s tongue in Midnight Express. Why do we react this way? Producer David Puttnam discusses our reactions to these films and looks back at other cinematic moments from his work including Chariots of Fire and The Killng Fields with scientist and emotions expert Dylan Evans and psychologist Ian Penton-Voak.
